Looks can be deceiving. Place looks clean and professional. However, the staff don't know what they are doing. I specifically called the day before my appointment about a possible deferral. After answering their questions, I was assured that I was eligible to donate. After driving an hour in the POURING rain down 26, was told within 5 minutes of arrival that I was not eligible to donate. Two hours wasted even though I tried to be proactive.
March 18,2026-Received an invitation to make a whole blood donation yesterday . Showed up at the door this morning. Beautiful welcome, proficient check in, then Anna extracted the blood, took seven minutes and twenty seconds. This can be done in-between chores. Anna is gifted with her medical talents. May 2025-I received a text asking for a donation with dates. I responded with best day and time . My request was confirmed via text. Automation is easy to follow. The Staff was welcoming, kind-hearted, and friendly.💖
DO NOT DONATE TO THEM! GO TO THE RED CROSS WHERE YOU WILL BE RESPECTED!!! STAFF AT THE BLOOD DRIVE AT JACKSON COUNTY DEPARTMENT ON AGING on 3/13/2026 WERE SO RUDE!!!!! The woman with the short ponytail just stared at us and the heavy set Caucasian man was just as bad. We asked about the blood drive. We drove 2 hours just to help out. He said all appointments full. Ashlyn was the absolute best, she saw I looked pale and immediately jumped into action and dropped everything to help. Would come here again just for her!
