Place looks like something from the 1960s but food was great. Our waitress, Flo, is a real gem.
We’ve been going to the Poconos for years and finally tried The Big A. We thought we would be in for a treat as this establishment had been around for years! The service was very good, but our meals were disappointing. The food was delivered warm. My husband ordered the porterhouse, and for $50 (our fault for not asking ahead of time what the market price was) the steak was very gristly. The mashed potatoes were gummy. We had my daughter's first birthday party her this weekend. We did the brunch buffet. Our private room was beautiful and even had a courtyard for the kids to enjoy since the weather was perfect. Our waitresses were great. Everything moved smoothly. The food was delicious and everyone had a wonderful time. I would definitely host another party at Big A Grille-house.
The nastiest burger I ever had and it was $10. Took one bite and threw it in the garbage!
Went tonight had 3 adults and 3 kids. The waitress was terrible and the good was ok. Defiantly not worth the 140 dollars they charged us for 3 kids meals and 3 adult meals. From the beginning we had to stop other waiters and waitresses just to get basic necessities, like straws and drinks. She checked on us maybe twice durring the meal. She also wasn't very friendly when she did stop by. Also they added the gratuities to the check. She received 20 on top of the 140! From out of town and we went here for lunch. the service was excellent we had a waitress named Flo, and she knew how to make us feel welcome.
We love Flo! Her personality and accent are great!
