Great local bar/restaurant to take visitors – Great atmosphere, even during the 'slow' weekend afternoons, when you can drink and play dice. Food is always great (especially the wings and the pulled pork sandwich!). Drink specials include owner Barb's famous 'Barbaritas'. Generally friendly staff. My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and we all loved it, and now they love us bringing our babies here for a beer & burger at lunchtime -what more can I say! I ALWAYS take out-of-town visitors here.

Good food, great atmosphere, fantastic margaritas – The food is great - and you can get anything from a burger and fries to salmon with asparagus and roasted potates. The perfect place if you want to start with a drink... but figure you'll probably want something to eat, too. The margaritas are tart and strong and big - a great value. The people are all nice and easy going... we've eaten all over town, and I always come back to the BT!

Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices – A great neighborhood bar and restaurant. The food is good, especially the Cajun and Creole dishes. Best margaritas in town. Service is casual and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Street parking difficult -- use the lot at Polk and Pacific. Don't be a bozo -- the staff and regulars have little tolerance for jerks. Show up a few times, be nice and you'll be treated like family.

not so friendly – The food is medicore. The service is terrible. We got dinner and had drinks while watching game 7 of the nba finals in the back on their large screen TV. They didn't want us to stay, even though there were open tables, and we weren't slow drinkers. The waitress even said "You have a TV in your living room don't you?". We left before the second half started.

The best – My beau on I have been visiting this place for 3 years now, and after experiencing almost every famed restaurant we have declared this our favorite. The staff is prompt as well as laid back and super friendly. But the food says it all. The cesar is a must, it's absolutely the best I have ever had, don't miss the portabello wellington and the giant pork chop. Might be weak in the area of wine, but they make up for it in a good selection of beer and killer martinis. Not to mention they serve dinner until midnight mo... read more

Great local place! – We live about 3 blocks from the Bell Tower and have eaten here many times. Every time the food has been excellent. Service can be a little slow sometimes but the staff is always extremely nice and the food is worth the wait!

Best Margaritas in Town – One of the best neighborhood joints in the city. All the bartenders make great margs and the owner Barb makes everyone feel welcome....go for lunch and belly up for the afternoon.

Friendlly folk, fabulous food. – The Bell -- some of *the* nicest folks in the city run this locals joint. Great, hearty, comfort food and a warm, inviting atmosphere ... not to mention the bountiful beers. Definitely a favorite of mine and my friends here in the city.

cutest romantic locals bar/restaurant – I love the Bell! Great little bar menu, sweet ladies who run the place, and even candle lit outdoor cafe tables for those warm summer evenings! I like their menu and they make a great Bloody Mary! Gret place for a date - dark, cool art deco decor, and stiff drinks!
