About this business

Housed in the Boston Center for the Arts, The Beehive restaurant and bar is almost like an opera house in itself with live jazz, cabaret and a lot more action. There are fine satin drapes and exquisite artifacts adorning the eatery. A popular hangout among the night birds; the bar and lounge scene here is also upbeat and lively. The food is a regular mix of the grilled and Mediterranean variety, with lamb ribs ruling the roost. Sausages, pasta and risottos also sit happily together on the menu. Unwelcoming environment. Hostess was rude and staff was disorganized. Many items on the brunch menu was unavailable. Food was mediocre. Server was plesent. Live music was ok. With so many nice brunch places available in the area, this one fails to deliver the fine dinning I was looking for. I wouldn’t recommend for brunch.

This place was amazing! Great food, drinks, and the bartenders were awesome and helpful... If I lived in the area I'd be there all the time!

The decor is an eclectic blend of chandeliers, wood, brick, interesting artwork, and cafe tables. It all works so well in the historic building. Brunch was delicious. We had mimosas, spinach benedict, and quiche. Service was excellent. The Mike Mele Trio was playing awesome jazz throughout the meal at just the right volume. We could clearly hear the wonderful music and still have conversation. We will be back soon.
