RecommendedStaying at pine lakes lodge (bunkhouse cabin) read reviews and had family reviews. Decided to go check it out. Got there around 8pm Friday (opening day of Paul Bunyon2018) very busy. We were seated immediately, very friendly waitress and prompt. Corn nuggets- Ribeye w/shrimp , ny strip,mashed potatoes,baked sweet potato, asparagus, Brussel sprouts, sautéed mushrooms , Oreo cheesecake and pumpkin cream puff. All was excellent. Went there for the first time today for lunch. Loved the atmosphere, the service was great and everyone was friendly and it was easily the best burger and fries I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the smokehouse burger. I’d make the drive to go back for sure. ��
Consistently the service & food is amazing
I had their shrimp scampi and it was very good and the Bud Light was ice cold and tasted great.

The Bears Den is a quaint and unassuming restaurant. It’s a little of the beaten path but so worth it. We had the corn nuggets for an appetizer and they were fabulous. We each ordered a filet and they were the best filets we have had! They were cooked to perfection. We both ordered them with the whiskey glaze which is to die for!!! My baked sweet potato was huge and the rice pilaf was really good. This will become our go to place for steak! It is well worth the drive!
