I am so happy that Jeffery has created a space like this in Lombard. It is so community centered and welcoming to everyone. Jeffery is so kind and his energy alone will make you want to return. But then! The coffee and teas and the vibe of the space just add to the delight. I always get the Georgia O’Lavender (espresso or match is delicious). Fantastic small business in downtown Lombard! The owner is there running tho he himself everyday. Delicious drinks and a super fun lending library of books and games. Could not recommend this more!
I think I found my new coffee spot! Went to Common Grounds for the first time today. Loved it! I went with two others. We all enjoyed our beverages (two espresso lattes and one matcha latte). The gentlemen that made our drinks was very attentive and welcoming. Be aware that this man is a beverage *artist*. Common Grounds is a super unique and vibey coffee shop! They have unique flavor combos for the drinks, many of which you can choose if you want as an espresso, matcha, decaf, or chai/black tea. The owner is so kind and clearly passionate about the business! It can be a bit of a wait for drinks if they are really busy, but its definitely worth it! I stopped in here today. I've read some of the bad reviews. I've been to maybe 200 different coffee shops across the usa in the last 10 years. I always get a small latte made with heavy cream. The owner took my order, kinda tried to change it on me. After we went back and forth, to explain specifically what i like and don't like, he made my drink. He called it a flat white.
