I booked a viewing for an apartment last week, and I told them that I was coming from Edmonton. I was sent multiple confirmations for today at 2:00 pm, then at 11:40 am, I get a call saying they actually already rented out the apartment last week so they have to cancel my 2:00 pm appointment. I was already on the road and half way there. If they already rented out the apartment, why not call me as soon as you open, or the weekday before? It was extremely inconsiderate. Tub was over flowing and came home to a changed lock with my key inside the unit with a none working code. Had to break in as no one could be reached in a timely matter to show up and give me access. On top had lots of clean up due to flooding as they did not have keys to my unit for some reason. Not impressed as I did not expect to be locked out for a flooding tub.
I had an appointment today at The Barnhart (1121 6 St SW) at 11 AM. I arrived on time, but the property manager never showed up. I called multiple times, only to be told that she was in a meeting and couldn't reach out to me. Meanwhile, I was left waiting outside in the cold. This experience reflects extremely poor management and a lack of professionalism. Avenue Living Management is by far one of the worst property management companies I’ve encountered.
