Love the homemade ice cream
First time there today and will be back. Loved the atmosphere of it being in a home, with a cozy front porch! The food was excellent and our waitress was awesome.

Stumbled upon this quaint gem on business trip to Columbia and was swept off my feet. Absolutely loved The Backyard Cafe and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
I continue to enjoy the food here. Unlike some places that are fantastic when they open but decline in quality over the years. Everyday is like their first year. Fresh homemade food with friendly service. I think one secret is that the owners are always on site. Peg & Mike usually make frequent trips around dining area to greet diners & make sure they are pleased with everything. Try the desserts!
