Really lovely place. Good food. Good drink variety. Really nice patio. Surprisingly irritated and rude servers. I felt like they had held a grudge against me for years (I assure you I had never met them).
Been coming here for a bit now and all I can say is that this place is the truth. Food is out of this world, drinks (on tap and mixed) are all great, and the atmosphere is truly warm. Frank and Gus are also wonderful company when they’re out and about. I’ve also gotta mention the lovely game store upstairs (Silver Canon). Truly a dangerous thing being able to grab a drink then browse then grab some warhammer in the same building. If a cozy corner bar is something you enjoy, you owe it to yourself to check the Back Yard out.

I'm really disappointed that my experience didn't meet my expectations. I've been looking forward to trying this place for months, especially since I often enjoy pizza. It seemed busy, likely because of its cozy size. Unfortunately, my first Detroit pizza was lacking in flavor and didn't have the taste I was hoping for. I won't return; it's disappointing. I think it is a hostel and unwelcoming. I didn't enjoy my time here. The bartender is rude and mean. And I haven't been offered a drink or napkin
I didnt like the pizza so much because we waited 40 minutes for pizza and its 20 dollars for a 6 slice of pizza /small so good luck have a great day
