Hired the Austin Artisan with a group of friends based on all of the positive reviews and was thoroughly disappointed in the food. The chef was nice, but he didn’t know anything about the dishes being served, reading off of a piece of paper and incorrectly describing multiple dishes and having to correct himself. The pork in the bao was overcooked, the spinach biscuits were dry, the kimchi dumplings were inedible, and the entree had a heaping pile of rice noodles with no sauce. We recently had a private chef experience with Austin Artisan and were thoroughly disappointed. The chef seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and several courses, such as the bao and potstickers, tasted like they were pre-packaged rather than freshly made. Our group has hired many private chefs over the years, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. Truly disappointing.

Our event was an abject disaster in every way. Weeks of planning reduced to a last minute no show. Humiliation, a lack of accountability, the only offering was an apology. Never trust this group with an event.
