barkandmeow I love this place. I come all the way from Indiana because of the great selection and prices. My daughter is visiting from Santa Barbara and we are making the trip again.
They are VERY NICE people – I have been a consignor for many years and always been treated with respect. I have witnessed some women get angry at these ladies when they kindly reject taking items from a consignor. Some people think their items are the greatest, when in fact, they are just junk or out of style. I witnessed a crazy lady yelling and calling them scammers because there is a fee added on to the tag (which Is on the contract). She was stupid and obviously can't read. Lovely Store How did I not know about this great store? There is so much to see, and everything is set up so beautifully. This is my new favorite place.
Consignment I take in items to sell and they take the best things in good condition. They are very nice, and take the time to look everything over to make sure it's clean for their shoppers. I can understand that since I wouldn't want to buy something dirty or broken. I've sold many things over the years.
Upscale Thrift Shop This thrift shop is more upscale and the prices definitely reflect this- I rarely find a bargain here. They sell furniture, clothes, jewelry, housewares, etc.. The store is not child-friendly and the feeling I get is that children aren't welcome (maybe it was the dirty looks from the lady working there?). The entrance can be a little tricky to find because it's in the back of a renovated house. Well made furniture I bought a kitchen table with chairs and it is high quality. The price was low and it was brand new! The people that work there smile and are friendly. There are a lot of great gift ideas in this little place. Check it out!
Disappearing Merchandise?? I took some of my Coach purses there. The ladies were not very friendly at all. They debated with me about whether or not they were authentic. While in their possesion one of them disappeared. There is nothing I can do about it because their contract states that they are not responsible for anything that you leave there. I am done with them...Period.
