My wife and I travel for 7 months a year, and we had been in 40 countries and in really nice hotels (and the others as well). This is “the other category”- not even close to be a spectacular 5 stars. Location. We decided to walk on the first day and all that we passed in 30 minutes to walk to city center were 5 or 6 sex shops, a couple strip clubs and bunch of car/ motorcycle repair or sale shops. Provided exactly what we needed: A hotel in Athens that's walkable to the acropolis, plaka, bunch of restaurants, and also walkable to subway stations. Room itself was good, exactly what you'd expect from a downtown hotel. Tip: i wasn't familiar with this method but you need to insert your room key card into the slot next to the door of your room inside. This activates the lights and AC. Pros: The location of this hotel is absolutely phenomenal. Being right next to the Acropolis and within walking distance of over 100 excellent restaurants and shops made exploring Athens a dream. The view from the breakfast area was also very good, and the staff was kind enough to bring an entire pot of regular coffee. My friend and I had a wonderful time staying here on our quick stop in Athens! The location was fantastic, right in between the acropolis and the temple of Zeus! This made it so easy to walk everywhere and know we were still close to our room if we needed anything. All of the staff members were extremely kind and welcoming! They were able to offer us early check in (which was a life saver after a 10 hour flight) and made sure to offer to keep our bags when we checked out the next day. The hotel exceeded our expectations! Usually, when the price is “reasonable,” you expect some issues - but here it was quite the opposite. Everything was beyond amazing. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable - exactly what you need. Their breakfast was also lovely, and they serve really good coffee - something that’s surprisingly hard to find in Greece! Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Athens.
