I had an incredible experience staying at The Athens Gate Hotel in the heart of Athens, just a stone’s throw from the Acropolis! 🏛️✨ The location was unbeatable! Great value for your $$! Excellent customer service, clean room, and walking distance from the Acropolis, Zeus’ Temple, the parliament building ( watched the changing of the guards). Lots of small shops and restaurants around. Free breakfast included, the restaurant is on the rooftop with amazing views! See pics.
This hotel is in such a great location if you want to be in the heart of all the history. The staff were very friendly both at the front desk and up in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food that was served was fresh, hot, and delicious! Breakfast has a lovely variety of options of hot and cold food options. The room was spacious, clean, and well looked after. I had a lovely stay. The staff were so friendly and informative, ensuring everything was smooth and I had everything I needed. The room was clean with fresh lavender on the bed. The balcony oversaw the Temple of Zeus which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was served on the rooftop restaurant with direct views of the Parthenon that couldn’t be beat. It is really close to Plaka and Acropolis and from the rooftop you can actually see the Acropolis. However, the doors are not isolating at all the noise and from my room i heard a lot of alarms from some deposit or cleaning room. Otherwise the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast is divers and the guy from the reception is really helpful
