Location, location, location! What I loved: being close to everything in the downtown pulse of Athens and 2 min walk to Key Tours pick up (try the Delphi tour). Loved the staff at reception and the restaurant (Evida stood out). The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. We loved that view at sunset for dinner and in the morning for a delicious breakfast! Menu prices for dinner were reasonable and food was good. The location of this hotel is walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Acropolis. Great breakfast offered at the rooftop restaurant. Spectacular views of the Acropolis. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Service was wonderful. We were departing hotel early one morning and they arranged breakfast to take on the go which was lovely. Would definitely stay here again for it’s convenient location.

A wonderful place to stay. We had a great honeymoon which started off with 3 days in Athens. From our arrival to our departure we felt very taken care of. They have rooms facing the Parthenon, but even the ones facing Hadrians Gate and Temple of Zeus are great views! Beds are comfortable and the breakfast and restaurant upstairs are tasty. We loved the fresh honeycomb! The location is perfect and easy to walk anywhere you want. Every day/night we walked through Plaka and every day/night we experienced something different!

Absolutely loved the stay at The Athens Gate Hotel! The location is unbeatabl. Right in the heart of downtown Athens, within easy walking distance of local shops, restaurants, the Acropolis, and the Parthenon. Our room had a front-row view of Hadrian’s Arch and the Temple of Zeus! The rooftop dining was a huge highlight: intimate, romantic, and serving amazing food alongside stunning views of the illuminated Acropolis. We stayed here while visiting Athens for our honeymoon. It is clean, at a great location, and felt safe. There is a roof top that has beautiful reviews. The breakfast that is included is delicious and has a wide variety. Breakfast is 7-10:30. There is doorman and the people at the front desk were friendly. We had drinks before dinner with a great view but it was pricy. Would recommend!
