Angus Barn is an upscale steakhouse with an opulent menu of wines, steaks, and seafood. Housed inside a building that resembles a giant red barn, Angus has been a local mainstay since 1960. Its staying power is attributed to great service, a fine dining atmosphere, and classic steakhouse fare. Locals come to the barn to celebrate special occasions and meals. The sprawling restaurant is a treat to walk through and behold, and has a wine cellar, whiskey lounge, and cigar bar.

I remember a time when gentlemen wore jackets to the AB. I called to see what the dress code was and was told "business casual" which can mean a lot of things. The employee basically said no jeans. Well how times have changed. They need to advertise "Beach Casual". It was mainly shorts and tee shirts and some lady in jeans with holes in them. Food was Ok but expensive. Not the high scale steak house it use to be. Unfortunate.
The ambiance and service was fantastic. I had very high expectations because I've read about this place for over a decade but have never eaten here. I finally had the opportunity to dine here tonight. I hate to be a Debby Downer, but I ordered their signature Chateaubriand. (Medium Rare). It came out Medium well..... not once, but twice. Tougher than beef jerky. They didn't charge me for it which was, in my opinion, a first class customer service move, but quality of their steak is what it is. Always a first class experience with wonderful service and amazing food!!
The Angus Barn never disappoints. I had a surprise party there on Saturday night and the staff did an outstanding job!!!!
AB has been a traditional family favorite for celebrating special events. The staff, food, service, and atmosphere make a winning combination for a delightful dining experience. Although we live out of state, AB is tops on the list for a meal out when we visit NC.
Was not impressed at all. My Ribeye was lacking in flavor & beefyness . I hate coated fries, but I asked for them well done & that's how they arrived. The stuffed potato was legit STUFFED into the plate, so it appeared to be not fresh. The Chocolate Chess Pie was INSANE though. I mean INSANE !! I thought it was very overpriced for what We got . And just to let you know, 4 out of 5 of us were disappointed with our meal.
Outstanding food and service. A favorite for many years!
Atmosphere was pleasant not too fancy, loved the waiter and his attention to detail. The wine manager was very knowledgeable and took the time to describe the different types of pinot grigio. The prime rib and chateaubriand steak were perfect cuts and cooked to order. The side selection was diverse and delicious. Would definitely come back!
First time back in 20 years and this restaurant still is amazing - food, staff, price and experience. We'll be back a lot sooner! Thanks
