My favorite spot on Division. The American local has an outstanding waitstaff and boasts one of the most creative menus in SouthEast both for food and drink.
A rare date night last night with my partner, and we wanted to try someplace new and different. The American Local was recommended, so we headed over there for one of the best Portland meals we've ever had. We shared 5 delicious plates, delighting in all of the flavors and presentations. My husband's cow milk allergy was tended to with respect and care, with lots of delicious options. Our server was beyond lovely and attentive, the environment pretty and well designed, drinks beautifully crafted... What a pleasant surprise!
Went there Wednesday night with My Wife and a friend and the place was AMAZING. Brett the bartender was unbelievably talented and created the best cocktails ever and the food was outta this world. The staff was friendly and everybody in this place was busting their butt to get the orders out. The place was moderately packed and there wasn't a sad face in the crowd. This Georgia boy HIGHLY recommends that anybody visiting Portland swing by grab some food and cocktails.
