The New York school is where most of the classic actors came out of which inspired me to go. Unfortunately, I went to the West Coast AADA since I was a west coast kid. .. The LA school is what many actors commented : a completely toxic environment for actors and very destructive to creativity; looking back, it was like a cult. I just finished here. I came in with an opened mind to how things were going to be taught. I knew a lot already going into this school so maybe that's also why the teaching felt lackluster. In the end, I dealt with some teachers who were extremely petty and honestly childish. This school had such a toxic environment. While there were some great teachers and directors, I knew tons of people who quit due to the pressure/pettiness/etc. People will spread rumors and that's life, but you figured the teachers wouldn't join in and ... read more

Where wide-eyed hopeful actors go to be preyed upon my mediocre acting "teachers". Anything you learn here can be taught to you by taking acting classes elsewhere without paying thousands of dollars. Believe me, they don't even teach you what is useful in the entertainment industry until the 2nd year (after you've already payed nearly 35,000) and you can find this info for free online.
