About this business

The Abbey is a casual dining, American restaurant that is popular for lunch, dinner and late-night meals. The interiors are contemporary with brick walls, huge murals and large glass windows that reveal views of the busy street. It is frequented by a young crowd, on their way to nightclubs, to sample the choice of 50 beers and comfort food. The dishes include Charred Caesar Salad, Butter Bean and Lentil Burger, and the signature Truffle Fries served with Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise. My favorite place. Food & drinks are excellent, but what makes this place so special is the staff. Mike & Tito know how to run a bar. They are incredibly nice & attentive, they are hilarious, they know everybody's names, they will find you a seat at the bar when it's crowded. I always leave The Abbey happier than when I walked in.

Lovely new spot much needed. I was waiting for Katie to do my hair next door at Judy Jetson and she recommended It here. Had the grilled Caesar salad which was delicious and the green tomatoes. Lovely. Nice cosy spot I can see people sitting waiting for a salon appointment or out to dinner for time to come. Only recommendations would be a foot rest under the bar. 5 stars.

Business response:

Thanks, Caitríona Crawford! Foot rests are ordered! They'll be installed soon!

the bartender was so nice and pleasent to talk to and the food was amazing! the Deviled egg were out of the this world! the buger was cooked perfectly and the fries were seasoned and cooked pefectly as well. The place has such a great feeling when you walk into it. Open space and windows to look out of. Highly recommended for anyone living in and around the Porter Square area. You can get there by the 77 or 96 bus or the Porter square stop onthe redline. Amaming Staff + amazing food= a great experience!
