In the mood for THAI? – First of all, disregard the red "no parking" sign posted in the parking lot behind the building. It doesn't include Thai Sticks name on it, but it's suppose to be there. (you'll see what I mean) If the weather is nice, stay on the patio, but not too close to the street. Between the constant "VROOM", exhaust expell from a passing car, and the rush of birds bathing in the onsite fountain, you might get a little distracted from your date. I tried the bamboo beef (mild). Each bite was flavorful with spice... read more

Quick seating on Sat. night – We got quick seating on a Saturday night w/ no reservation, so I was happy about that. Service was verrrrrry slooowww, though, but tolerable because the waiter was nice and the food was good.

Thai Sticks – This is certainly a good place to impress someone on a first date. The food was delicious! I enjoyed their seafood curry and basil chicken entrees. Furthermore, the place is nicely decorated in an art deco kind of way.

Can't wait to go back! – I have already eaten here on 3 occassions and have always loved my food. On one occassion, we had a group of 15 people and everyone loved it. One person from out of town even commented that now they know why people say Houston has such great restaurants!! We love the green curry the absolute most but everything we have tried is wonderful. Great place for a fun night out!

Not what I expected! – We recently ate here and were pretty disappointed. The descriptions of the food on the menu got us very excited for the food that was about to arrive. We couldn't wait to dig right into our Seafood Adventure ($16) and Red Snapper ($18) with ginger sauce. Unfortunately, the food did not taste anything like we had hoped. Pretty bland and not very exciting. We could have gotten better food for less elsewhere. The ambience was nice and the servers were very attentive. But that's not enough for us to return... read more

Great food but bad service – I must say that Thai sticks has excellent food. I recommend making reservations if going on a weekend night. The authentic Thai food is one of the best in Houston. Unfortunately, the service is way below average. The waiter brought out cold soup. It was sent back and was still cold the second time. Asked one of the owners to resolve the issue, and the soup was brought back right before we received the check. Food order was completely messed up. Overall, the service ruined our dinning experience. ... read more

Fine dining in the Museum District heats up with modern Thai fusion cuisine. – In Short Thai sticks are wooden rods wrapped in bamboo and used to tell the future. Diners at this restaurant should expect good fortune, especially if they're in the mood for hot and spicy Thai fare. The ample dishes at this airy eatery feature updated contemporary presentation and some subtle changes to traditional Asian recipes. Tables feature white linens and candlelight during dinner. There is a full bar, featuring exotic cocktails from Thail... read more

Wonderful – I tried it for the first time tonight. I went with a friend and we started off with the dumplings. They were very good. I had the Pad Thai, also very good. I sampled my friend's Basil Chicken something or other....next time I'll have that. The service was very attentive and the surroundings were very comfortable. It was not crowded when we were there, my only concern is that it might be very noisy if there was a crowd. I'll definitely be back.
