RecommendedOn our way home from Pittsburgh today, Sunday, June 7, 2020, we called the Texas Roadhouse in Altoona an hour in advance for a reservation. Chuck who answered the phone was most helpful. Chuck asked us to wear masks in and out of the restaurant. Upon arrival they currently have an outside check-in with about four people there at 11:30am to assist. fantastic service! fantastic food. haven't been disappointed yet!
My husband ordered Mother's day dinner. The order pick up time was 5pm. After waiting in a line for an hour to pick up (every one must have had the same pick up time) he gets home and the buns are missing (we got the butter for them, but no buns) and my well done steak was mooing at me. Such a complete disappointment. of course no answer at the restaurant, just a loop. If its taking that long to wait for your food, it should at least be correct. I can assure you this won't happen to us again!!
Big shout out to the crew working Mothers Day dinner! Slammed and way behind and still getting it done with a smile ( at least it seemed like it behind the masks lol). Yeah it was an hour after our order time that I pulled out, but you can only do with what you have. It was Mother's Day after all. As always the food was great, the people awesome and with what we're dealing with the service was outstanding! Thanks to all! PS. no line dancing??? lol

We ordered curbside-to-go last evening. The experience was outstanding. The process for picking up our order was like an oiled machine. I was completely impressed by the organization and high efficiency by the staff at this establishment. If anybody is worried about a long wait, social distancing, unsanitary conditions, short tempers.....you wont find that here! They have a smile on their facemasks with safety a number one priority. Well done!
