I have contacted Texas Bay in regards to my decrease in income due to Covid-19, and have forwarded all documentation from my employer as well. I had a very negative exchange today with a loan representative with Texas Bay today. The young lady was very rude and lacked tact. I continued to ask her to take my payment and she reiterated that my account is in repo status and I asked her to explain how is that possible. Seeing that I was unemployed due to Covid and gave the every dime I received from unemployment as well as my en... read more

Early on if the first pandemic I got a call saying I owed them $500. I had taken out all my money but a few dollars since I didn’t want to go in to close the account. I opted out of overdraft because I didn’t want to owe why was taken out plus a fee years ago. The $500 I owe is in fees. The call early on I made a case that they lost no money and all the money they wanted was from their own fees. Which their creditValet app didn’t notify me of. During the call I said that it was a bad look to do this during the pandemic and j... read more
I have had my car loan with Texas Bay for over 3 years now. I have never missed 1 payment and I actually always pay ahead of pay ment date. Since I have been with them recently I have gotten calls from their collections team asking about a “past due” payment. I literally had to explain to a representative by account and they agreed they were incorrect the FIRST time this happened. They called again recently now saying the same thing. I am not sure how you are a “financial institution” but for some reason cannot simply apply ... read more
online web access is trash! only allows you to make a payment and see previous payments. Does not let you know how many payments you have left or the date you started the loan, nothing! Simply terrible!
Over Thanksgiving My account was charged three late fee even when I deposited money. They said no one was working.
Business response:
Hello, After reviewing the transaction history, it was noted that no deposits were made between 11/7/2020 and12/1/2020, but multiple debit card/ POS transactions were processed during that time causing the account to go negative and incur fees as per the account agreement. A mobile deposit was made on 12/2/2020, but multiple debit card/ POS transactions posted to account before the deposit was made on 12/2/2020. Although fees were charges according to the agreement, two refunds were issued on 12/2/2020 as a courtesy to the m... read more
I have an excellent beacon score and payment history with TBACU and my complaint is about how I was treated when I applied for a higher credit limit. I usually pay 2 to 3 months of payments in advance and pay my loans off early. The last loan I had with TBACU was paid off in 18 months (loan term was 60 months). It was a loan of $10K! My current limit is $8,625 and they approved me for an extension of $1,400. After many days of document requests and submissions I decided to seek help elsewhere and applied for an extension to ... read more
