Check engine light came on on my 2020 Subaru Outback while traveling in Wyoming. Teton Motors was the nearest Subaru dealer (still 100+ miles away). They wanted me to leave the car with them for a week just to run a (5 minute) diagnostic scan. This would be bad enough, but gets much worse when considering that 1) All symptoms strongly suggest a TCV failure. The TCV is known to fail prematurely on the 2020 Outback. We picked out a vehicle and we said we would pay cash. The salesman said he needed to talk to his manager and would call us back. After 7 days with no follow up, we moved on and bought a Forester in Butte Montana. I mean WTH?
