Dr. McCurry performed two surgeries on my wife. Stated he could not complete everything in first surgery that was covered by insurance. Dr McCurry added tissue thickeners that cost $100,000 and never once told us about the cost. Insurance denied the claims for the second surgery and we were stuck with $130,000 hospital bill. When his office appealed the Insurance, they forgot to include the hospital EOB. This made the appeal useless. We paid $130,000 for a $4,000 to $8,000 operation.
Dr McCurry is an excellent plastic surgeon. He has a kind caring quiet demeanor. Most importantly he is meticulous in the OR and that matters the most!! He is "making me whole again" with my second breast cancer diagnosis, mastectomies, etc. I am very grateful to have him as my plastic surgeon. Thank you so much, Cheryl S.
I was highly recommended to see Dr. McCurry for breast augmentation. He was a real joy to meet with the first day, but that was it. His assistant was terrible to work with and very unorganized. She never followed through with paperwork and scheduling. It took months and months. I never received a actual bill or statement just a typed up word document. There was no direction on what to do to prep for surgery.He has very little concern with you post operation. I felt like a number.
Keep in mind that a doctor's care depends a lot on nursing staff. A lot of complaints about quality of care in hospitals are a direct result of poor management and lack of nursing staff by the hospitals. We need to demand that hospitals hire enough nurses so that doctors can do a good job. It takes a village to make it all work!
If you have him do your surgery is l just hope you have no complications because if you do he .will not try to help resolve the problem he won't even come to the hospital to see you mainly the hospitallist ddoctors will care for you and i hope Dr.Gunn isn't one of them he has no comparison he is in the wrong profession..As well as Dr.Mc.curry..
Dr. McCurry is an expert in breast reconstruction, and did an incredible job on my case. I had experienced complications through previous surgeries with other surgeons, and needed revisions. Dr. McCurry took on my case with a confidence and expertise I had never before see in a surgeon. He was really pleasant, and always made me feel like I was in the best of care. He is by far the best surgeon to trust with your reconstruction.
