I am FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR HAVING MET DR. CHEN! He is the most caring, thoughtful and articulate surgeon I’ve met (and unfortunately I’ve had to meet with a lot of them). I am in need of an eight or nine vertebrae full cervical fusion. Dr. Chen is a highly respected and wonderful surgeon. He scheduled me for surgery very shortly after my first consultation. My surgery was successful and I am so grateful to Dr. Chen and his wonderful staff. They treat their clients with kindness and respect. I would like to add that I met with Dr. Chen himself, not his PA. I had an appointment with another neurosurgeon on the same day and I only met with his PA.
It seems more common for folks to express negative experiences on-line. I'm glad not to have read the posts here until after my visit. I found the office staff extremely attentive to detail and efficient in arranging an appointment for me in short order. My visit with Dr. Chen was extremely professional, thorough, and informative. I would not hesitate to refer family and friends to Dr.Chen.
Doctor Terence Chen should not be a doctor. My first intake with him and my sister seating next to me for support to find out about my MRI results. I was afraid and asking me where I was from,,, then "you have a 70 year neck, did your mother dropped you on the floor when you were a child"? I called my primary doctor office to provide me with a different doctor and the reason as to why I didn't want to go back to his office.
