I cannot recommend Mary Anne enough. She has a maternal calming presence mixed with a strong backbone when needed. Her wealth of experience is palpable and I always felt like I was in great hands. When my home birth plans abruptly changed to an urgent pre-term hospital delivery, Mary Anne seamlessly switched into the role of a dedicated doula. I was on the fence about homebirth considering I was advanced maternal age, but Marianne and her team were so professional, thorough and understanding that I felt so safe choosing homebirth. We could literally not ask for a better experience. Mary Anne and her team of ANGELS were everything we wished for. Serious, caring, funny, respectful, educational, perfect. Literally felt like family the whole time. We tried a home birth and had some complications during labor at home. Mary Anne and her team made the PERFECT call to head to hospital. I highly recommend Mary Anne and her team. My husband and I had our first baby in September. I was very pleased with all of our prenatal appointments as they take the time to listen to any questions or concerns we had. When Mary Anne arrived for the birth, she was very supportive and encouraging through contractions and pushing. Tender Beginnings was absolutely amazing with the birth of our daughter! I’m a first time mom who decided halfway through my pregnancy that I wanted a home birth. The Tender Beginnings team welcomed us in with open arms and helped us be as prepared as possible for a healthy pregnancy and birth. When it was time for our daughter to be born, Mary Anne knew exactly how to bring our baby safely into the world. They were confident in the face of every challenge birth threw our way and I’m just so grateful to them!
