RecommendedI simply love Tenaya Lodge! The room is clean and it feels so cozy, they have lots of activities, Deli store, Gift Shop, Spa, Ice ring and many more! My favorite place so far! I really recommend Tenaya!
I'm terribly unimpressed to say the least. The king suite is a just a regular hotel room with a big bed. It's blazing hot in our room. And the restaurant in the hotel, the sierras, messed up our reservation. The waitress rolled her eyes when I requested the same bread sticks that every other table had. And when my food finally arrived the Gnocchi was crusty and the sauce was so dark it was like the burnt remnants from the bottom of the pot and it wasn't even hot. We stayed May 25-27 and loved our cabin! Can't say enough about this beautiful property. Hope to return one day soon!
The lodge seems nice but we had a few things we didn't like. Firstly and I think probably the most significant is that when we arrived we were told there was a mandatory $15/day "resort fee". I'm not quite sure what that means but basically I think they are just swindling $15/day out of bookings which is a completely hidden fee to people that are booking online and comparing hotels. Nice propert however the staff somewhat gives preference to certain people. I will give this hotel a 1 star as we purchased vouchers on travel zoo. When we made our reservations ahead of time we were told by the agent we were all set. Upon arrival and checking in, we were hit with the news that the vouchers were not valid for these dates and that we were responsible for paying the difference.
