Dr. Teitelbaum is a straight shooter. He can see through people's denials and rationalizations very well. He is not a perfect man- none of us are- but he is very good at what he does, and he tries his best to push people in a positive direction and challenge them to do better.
You do not help people feel safe enough to heal, and healing our childhood trauma is vital to legitimately recovering from addiction. You also failed to diagnose my autistic PDA, even after I was partially hospitalized for three long months at Shand's, under your care, back in 2006. You actually asked me one day if I'm a c0n artist; nope - I'm actually a severely traumatized autie with cptsd and what you ignorantly witnessed was autistic masking - you're just really NOT a good doctor. I'm sober now, btw, and I owe absolutely... read more
Dr. T is very good at convincing the state medical boards he cares about patients. Other than that he has zero skills as a provider. He violated psychotherapist-patient and Doctor patient confidentiality. When I threatened litigation, the University of Florida’s lawyers got involved and simple had a bigger budget. Avoid at all cost, but you won’t be able to because if you have to see him you are probably a healthcare provider forced into his care. His “evaluations” are a revenue enhancement strategy for the treatment center ... read more
Teitelbaun is no longer a pediatrician. His license was permanently revoked in the state of Connecticut for drug abuse. His family has disowned him as well.
IIt has been over 20 years since my experience with Dr. (I use the term 'Dr. loosely'). He is an embarrassment to the medical profession. I cannot believe how the preponderance of negative reviews have been not only been repeatedly deleted, but that professional due diligence review and action has not removed him from the profession.

Began the interview by saying “do you know who I am??” I did not, so he was very offended. And after researching his credentials, I was still unimpressed. A very small man with an oversized ego.
Spent little time on evaluation. Did not get any collateral information or use DSM V criteria resulting in costly misdiagnosis.
I attended FRC in 2006-2007 and again in 2019 when I sustained a relapse after 10+ years of sobriety. Without Dr. Ken Thompson (former medical director), Dr. Scott Teitelbaum (current medical director) and their multifaceted team of clinicians and experts in addiction psychiatry, I most likely would have joined the many others who have succumbed from this disease. It was not until recently I fully came to appreciate how fortunate I was to have been afforded the opportunity to attend FRC for treatment. It saddens me to see so... read more
