This place is nearly always packed, and with good reason. This restaurant has been the place for "gringos" to enjoy good Mexican food, good company and potent potables. The stone walls and lack of windows make it a bit cave-like, but the bright orange booths give it a zip of fiesta color and an unpretentious feel. Known for the Green Corn Tamales and Chile Rellenos, it also offers burros, chimichangas and tasty margaritas.

No on the chili rellenos All time favorite, except if you like Chili Rellenos. Skip them, as they are just chilies with WAY too much beaten egg. Shouldn't be meringue, at least not the authentic way. Otherwise, it is good, salsa is good and a fun place for many, many years.
The Best From Boston to Phoenix, nothing can compare to the tastes, service and values at The Tee PEE. From the Margurittas, salsa and fresh baked chips to my favorite weekly "fix" - the Chicken Chimichanga. Been frequenting this fine establishment for 25 years from the northeast during the winter doldrums, and now retired and here for 4 months, the Tee Pee is the destination of choice for local flavor.
Presidential Mexican Food Many celebs and locals eat here, including George W. Great Mexican food. A Phoenix tradition. Family owned.
fantastic food This restaurant is worth the drive into the center of town. The atmosphere is fun. The staff are friendly. And the food is delicious. It is always busy, which proves how good they are!
Awesome place!!! – I have been eating at the Teepee for almost 30 years and it still has the same feel as it did the first time I ate there. This place has a very historic feel and glad to see there are places like this that still hang on to the past. It has that old school resort kind of feel. The food is nothing fancy but is always good and just as expected, never any surprises. The staff is super friendly and attentive mostly family and if not have been employed there so long that they should be. This place is an Arcadia ... read more
Forever the Family Place Fun Mexican food, good wait staff. Family has been eating here regularly for over 40 years. A Phoenix tradition!
best Mexican food anywhere – Best Mexican food anywhere. Especially recommend the chimichanga--a little unhealthy, but a delicious treat!
A Beloved PHX Institution – You have to love a place that serves you unlimited chips and salsa while you wait for your table. The menu is nothing special but the food is. Each dish is made fresh to order. A current president had the enchiladas when he visited here and that dish has now been deemed the "Presidential Special". The atmosphere at the TeePee is unlike anything in PHX, you'll see anything from people in pajamas to striped suits. If the inevitable wait is not to your liking, get your food to go as the TeePee is an ... read more
