MONTHS WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY SENIOR MOTHER IN FOR MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS. SHE HAD BEEN TREATED AT BLUEBONNET TRAILS FOR 30 YEARS. THEY TOLD HER TO COME HERE AND NOW SHE HAS BEEN OUT OF MEDICATIONS, GONE THROUGH WITHDRAWALS, DEPRESSED AND FEELING AS IF SHE ISN'T WORTH THEIR TIME! THIS IS MENTAL HEALTH YOU ARE DEALING WITH!!! WE KEEP GETTING THE SAME LINE FROM THE LADY WHO ANSWERS.. THE OTHER PLACE HASN'T SENT THE RIGHT INFORMATION, AFTER SPENDING 6 HOURS ONE DAY GETTING THEN THE INFO THEY REQUESTED. I called the Teddy Buerger Center today seeking help for serious mental health concerns. I explained that I’ve lived here for two years, but because of the financial and emotional control from my ex-husband, I currently have no insurance, no primary care doctor, and no money. Instead of connecting me with counseling or crisis support, I was told I could not make an appointment without a referral from a PCP— something I am unable to obtain because of my situation.
