I was starving ordered a avocado and bacon burger, with the salad instead of fries, the lettuce was brown around every piece couldn't eat it it just looked gross, when I mentioned it to the waitress she said I'm sorry" , the bacon on the other hand was amazing forgot to ask what kind it was, next time I'm ordering bacon only! I am pretty sure the server HAD to have noticed the lettuce and btw since when does a handful of lettuce ( nothing else) constitute a salad" ... very disappointing to have a 20.00 hamburger!
I had the choped steak and mashed potatoes it was really good my daughter had the turkey and avocado sandwich and my other daughter had had chicken strips and they were all good however my husband ordered the tuna melt and he could barely eat it he said it was so dry I guess they didn't put enough mayonnaise in with the tuna.
Incredible diner, home feel! Definatly would go back if you head up to big bear you gotta try it out
Great food but the service was horrible I'm not quite sure but I think even the owners did not want to take our order. We sat down and waited about 20min before someone took our order the owner kept telling other customers that it wasn't her section and the other owner was telling one other customer he did not want more customers i guess he has made a fortune and doesn't need the money the lady sitting next to us left because of the horrible service
The apple pie is tits. Best piece of pie I ever had. I love coming here when I visit Big Bear, the wait is OK because it's just like a tease before you get the piece of pie you've been lusting at that's behind the little glass display thingy. It's like a barrier between me and savagery, because I would have violated that piece of pie right in front of everyone if it wasn't in the display. Toodles.
