I ordered pork chowmaine but what I got was vegetable chow maine and there was not one piece of pork in it!!!! It was advertised on their lunch menu for $13, but when I paid for it to go I ended up paying $16.75 . I call them and informed them that I would never go back into their money-grubbing, cheap, bad tasting, Chinese food restaurant ever again, and I would hope everyone who goes there checks their bill because you're gonna get overcharged and screwed over.
Hot sour soup was good and egg rolls were okay. Was pretty upset at how the noodles came out, wish I got my money back. They were way too overcooked.
The Spicy Sunny Special is absolutely one of the best meals in town, also the house Chow Mein and really so much more, too much good food to list! Whats to live? Solid portions in a tough economy for one! I highly recommend this good family run business!!! They have ice cold beer available too.
This place has been a local staple for decades for a reason. The food is consistently fresh, portions are generous, prices are fair, and the family who runs it is genuinely kind. I’ve been eating here for nearly 20 years and have never once had an issue with food quality or gotten sick, something I can’t say about every Chinese restaurant in Humboldt.
