Do yourself a favor and drop in on one of Kurtis's crossfit classes. I spend July on the Leelanau Peninsula every summer, but this summer was different I wanted to kickoff a fitness journey. TC CrossFit is awesome. The workouts are seriously good — challenging but super well thought out. Curtis, the owner, actually creates all the programming himself, and it shows. He’s also the coach and does a great job explaining everything, whether it’s the movements, pacing, or how to scale if needed. The gym itself is really clean, and the equipment is top-notch. Curtis is a great coach and I had a great time dropping in! Very welcoming environment whether you are just stopping in or need a full-time CrossFit gym. Definitely recommend going here!
I really love this place. I use the TC Crossfit gym in the back, but with my unlimited CrossFit membership ($100 a month...which is a BARGAIN!!), I also get to use the front of the house which is the Elite Fitness gym (different membership rates for just using Elite Fitness. Ranges in the $40 to $50 a month...again, a super bargain!). Everybody is super nice. I'm an older endurance athlete. I like the smaller class size I get with the 7:30 a.m. ET Crossfit class.
