My husband and I have just started seeing Dr. Polk. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly. We are very happy to have chosen such a wonderful addition to Tidelands as our primary care physician.
Dr. Polk was my husband's primary care doctor. My husband was also seeing other specialists for cancer treatment. Dr. Polk was very caring and patient, and explained things thoroughly. Of all the doctors my husband was seeing in the Tidlands network, Dr. Polk was the only doctor to call and offer condolences when my husband passed away.
I am very pleased with Dr. Polk. During the visit, I found him to be attentive during my initial visit. He also inquired on any of my health concerns, which is what you want from a doctor. He was warm, friendly and thorough, which is comforting as I am new to the area and this medical provider after many years of excellent care from my previous provider in Massachusetts. Dr. Polk was very personable on the first appointment for my family friend. His office canceled his 2nd appointment on short notice. His assistant, Courtney, and he were curt, rude & impatient to a 74 year US veteran on today's 3rd visit. He overstated his points to him & myself. 2-3 ok but not 6+ times non-stop. Maybe they had a bad day but don't disrespect our older vets! They serve only as a last resort to get seen earlier if you're older.
