We had a date night on Sunday evening and tried Taylor Grocery for the first time. I don't know why we have never ate here before with family living in the area and visiting Ole Miss during football season. Anyways we had great service and great food. I had grilled catfish that was really good. My husband had Nick's platter. The pecan pie was the best I ever had!! The right amount of "goo" to pecans! The music was good too! Absolutely awesome!! We had catfish and My brother had the ribeye. All was GREAT!!
The staff treatment left my extended family speechless. It was a true Seinfeld Soup Nazi experience. In from out of town with other family members driving an hour plus to all be together. The food and waitress were phenomenal. The daughter as we were told brought a celebration night to tears. Great food but certainly not worth the treatment. Yes, this was shared with the owner and individual involved with No Apology. In the South as anywhere you go, as a paying, tipping patron... its rude to act this way.
The steak was awesome and the fish was so good! Service was excellent! Waitress was very friendly! I'll be back the next time I'm in Oxford!
