I have been hearing great reviews for years and finally made it. Nothing was exaggerated it was as good or better than I anticipated
Best gumbo I’ve ever eaten! We love this place ! Our son was the entertainment last night (Chance Stanley Music). And he had a great time with the customers ! If you ever get a chance to eat here while in Oxford don’t pass it up!
We had the most outstanding waitress and the catfish was amazing!
The catfish was on the salty side and somewhat over-cooked. May have been an off night. Service is quite good. Others in management , grouchy.
Our family has 3 birthdays in the same week. Father, Brother & Sister. We had a party of 12. They separated us, upon entrance and would not allow us to eat together; because they don't have a table big enough. YET, they had tables that could be pushed together. The large round table we sat at with extra room left over... could have easily seated all twelve of us comfortably by bringing a few extra chairs. They would not even work with us on this. Interesting atmosphere. Fillets were excellent. Had impromptu music session with owner. Great time.
