Located in the heart of all the Rush Street action, this bar and grill is an elegant, yet casual atmosphere to enjoy a juicy steak. With a horseshoe-shaped bar, white tablecloths on the tables and dim lighting, it is also a classic spot to take a date. Upstairs dining is a little more formal while the downstairs bar allows you to catch the game as well as a quick beer. If you aren't looking for steak, try a pizza cooked in a wood-burning oven and if you are here for a drink, the wine list is impressive.

We have been in Chicago for the weekend, hitting several of the popular spots. Tavern has it down. The other spots (reviews to come) resulted in a lot of frustration, long waits, surly wait staff and mediocre food. Tavern was top notch all the way around. Seated before expected, experienced wait staff, yummy food, great people watching. Skip the fads and go to the place that knows how to do it: Tavern on Rush.

This is one of my FAVORITE places to relax. The outside dining is so Quaint. The Food is Absolutely Devine, and the Mixologist know what they are doing!!! Chicago's finest for Quality, and Service. I LOVE IT.
