Perceived from Main Street in Wickford as a deceptively small gray building, this beautifully situated restaurant offers water views from inside as well as from the outside decks. You can eat grilled pizza, seafood and pasta dishes while looking across at Wickford Harbor or watch the ducks in the cove. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the location is one of the best around for water-lovers. Call ahead for lobster or to reserve seating for parties of five or more.

We went for lunch on Friday and ate outside. It was lovely. I had the grilled gyro and my husband had the crab cake sandwich. Our food was great. We both had a mojito, and they were great. Will definitely go back.
We had fish and chips which were excellent. Crunchy batter, beautiful, meaty, cod filets. Clam cakes and chowder were very good as well. Service was excellent. Off season, so the place was quiet. In summer it’s much busier, with outdoor seating.
Enjoyed a nice lunch on Small Business Saturday! We started with two excellent Bloody Marys. My french onion soup was hot and very tasty. I also had a bacon cheddar burger which was perfectly fine and prepared as ordered, but it wasn’t anything particularly special. The side of fries was hot and crispy. My wife had New England clam chowder and a crab cake sandwich, and said both were delicious. The service was friendly and excellent overall! This was our second lunch at the tavern, and we will definitely go back.
Fabulous setting. Fabulous food. Love the outside seating.
