Perceived from Main Street in Wickford as a deceptively small gray building, this beautifully situated restaurant offers water views from inside as well as from the outside decks. You can eat grilled pizza, seafood and pasta dishes while looking across at Wickford Harbor or watch the ducks in the cove. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the location is one of the best around for water-lovers. Call ahead for lobster or to reserve seating for parties of five or more.

Good, but not worth the price – After reading aaronmc's review, I went to Tavern by the Sea with great expectations. The food continues to be quite good and the menu is large enough to satisfy those who love seafood and those who don't. In a town that needs good places to eat, Tavern by the Sea delivers exceptional food. – Wickford is so quaint you may want to v omit when you visit it. The town is forever battling a desire to fill up with overpriced tourist traps for the summer season at the expense of places actual townsfolk might like. Tavern by the Sea is no tourist trap.
