What had the potential to be a charming morning coffee spot was entirely undone by the appalling demeanor of the two women working at 7 a.m. Despite offering a polite ‘good morning’ and a smile—twice—we were met with icy stares and an abrupt, disdainful ‘what do you want?’ It was as if basic decency was beneath their station.
