No star for Tatsu Sushi. Single worst experience in a restaurant in my entire life. They are rated Michelin star but when we were served scallion on rice we knew we made a mistake. The fish tasted old and fishy to the point where we had to drink water and eat ginger to wash the taste out, he never refilled our ginger after completed. Tatsu was the most disrespectful and unprofessional place of dining i’ve ever been to. We came to dine in 2026. The meal started off okay, as the dinner progressed the fish tasted old and then they served us a dish of scallion on rice. We drove 3 hours for this restaurant and we were not going to eat scallions on rice. RIPOFF. When we did not eat this dish the chef refused to speak to us for the rest of the dinner. Wow. Just wow. This was, without a doubt, the best dining experience we’ve had since living in Texas. Every part of it was worth it—the cost, the drive, and even leaving our kiddo at home for a night so we could celebrate our anniversary together. Theres always so many sushi restaurant because its dallas. Tatsu is one of the few Japanese owned sushi places I've gone back to so many times. Wonderful, lovely, fancy atmosphere yet comfortable. The sushi taste like japan.
