Mohammed Arfan Bhatti, son of Mohammed Bhatti - the man behind Northgate's Saffron Grill, brings the same flair and passion for Indian cooking to University District. Taste of India is in fact, one of the best places in the area to experience a lovely ambiance and authentic Indian cuisine. On the menu you will find traditional specialties like Tandoori Chicken, Jaipur Masala, Coconut Curry and Tikka Masala. And those who've already dined at Saffron Grill will not be left feeling disappointed, as the same signature Mediterran... read more

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Seattle! Great staff, consistent & delicious food.
We had an amazing luncheon on Mothers Day, must say they know how to delight customers with their impeccable service, patience (we had toddler & preschooler) and ofcourse lip smacking Indian food (garlic naan and seekh kabab my fav) absolutely recommend...keep it going..
Food excellent . Service weak, very weak. Server did not know what beers they had, instead " stand up and go see for yourself , the fridge is over there" , we asked about a chilly powder, what's in it? = i don't know, I will ask,,, never came back
I miss this great, quaint place. Delicious garlic naan, ckn biryani, mango/tamarind chutney and mango lassi. All first time to try after a stressful day at work and cleaning up bro's rental property adjacent to it. Never regretted it and I keep coming back til work flew me to Los Angeles in '04. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Dresses properly. Some were students of UW. Note: early diners get lucky for very limited parking. Public buses? Yup! Stops at about 10 seconds walk to TOI..

Great food and wonderful service. It's the little things that make a big difference. I loved the warm cup of complimentary chai while we waited for our table. This place has that rare quality of making you feel comfortable and cared for even though they're always busy. You can tell the employees feel that they're part of a team, a family. Without saying a word, through their actions, they tell me that they're grateful for my business.
