I had a terrible experience with Dr. Shane Tartt. On February 3, 2025. I had hand and wrist surgery. Dr. Tartt was the anesthesiologist supposedly in charge of my pain. I say that because he gave me a nerve block before the surgery, which to my understanding was supposed to last for several hours after post surgery. Many people may not know the importance of having a great anesthesiologist when you have major surgery. As a nurse of over 40 years, I do know. Dr. Shane Tartt provided me with such excellent care. I had absolutely no postoperative pain or nausea/vomiting. He had a great bedside manner, and I feel that I had an excellent surgical experience due to his expertise combined with a great surgeon and OR/PACU team at Baptist South.
