Any time I am in SF, I stop here if I have the chance. Only downside are the lines, but I suppose that is a testament to the excellence of this place.
In the morning, go for the breads and pastries, but at night, try for a seat at the monthly Afterhours dinners. Reservations are based on a lottery, and the menu changes with each meal:

The line moves quickly-it is worth the wait!
