Like my doctor, she spends time with me and answers my questions if needed
She tells me what I need to know & tells me what I need to do to be healthy. She makes sure I have the medications I need. She asks me if what problems I have, & will advise me what to do about them if I have any, & if necessary, will give me a prescription for them. She doesn't rush our visit.
I had been a patient of Dr Ostrom's for over a year. The phone system provides a lovely runaround, very difficult to get in tough with her admin. Failed on renewal of a prescription. I would not recommend this practice.
I have been with Dr. Ostrom for 3+ years. She does not rush thru your visit time. Her staff was awful, but things seem to have improved. Better communication!
I recently changed my PCP and I am very pleased with Dr. Tara Ostrom. I had some blood work done and the office called me back with the results saying everything was fine. My old PCP would have me schedule an appointment to come in and tell the same thing. I was able to call her office and get prompt advice and callback with more information, all without making a trip to her office. She and her staff are very good and I highly recommend them.
I really like Dr. Ostrom. She seems very bright and spends good time with me. However, over the past 3 years, I have found her staff to be terrible. They are not polite, they don't really seem to care, their voice messages sound like a speed reader left them and they charge you $2.00 to use your debit card. I just seems to be very difficult to get anything done there. I am leaving for a new provider.
She spent a lot of time with me in the exam room, which I appreciated, but trying to get anything done through this office is ridiculous. They have to check with the doctor before they do anything, even make a photocopy so you have to sit and wait while she's in with a patient. I waited almost an entire hour just to get the answer to a simple question. Also when the doctor told me some things she contradicted herself. It left me confused.
I actually would not recommend her to anyone ! She does not call back with test results. Calls you to let you know that she still needs to talk with a tech who has run a test on you...and then leaves you sitting for weeks waiting with still no word ! The least she could do is have someone in her staff call you with some information......
