Maybe I thought... – I saw this place on the Denver Gov. channel. I like the location! It was a cozy little place, but no alcohol. The portions were just right, but my expectations on flavor may have been too high. The warm chips and salsa are very good! I especially liked my metal Coke cup (an old milkshake tin). I probably won't go back, because it is quite a drive. If I lived nearby, it would be a cool hang out.
Very good, but not best of Denver – I just got back from this restaurant, and I can say for sure that it is a GREAT bargain of a mexican joint. However, putting it in the same category as Lola and Tamayo for top mexican spot in Denver is really not accurate. If you are looking for a quick, inexpensive and good tasting place for your mexican favorites, this is it. If it's excellence in mexican fare you're after, better to save this one for another night.
You'd never believe it – This restaurant is a small storefront building that looks like a dive. DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU. This is as great restaurant for the entire family and is some of the best Mexican food you will find anywhere. The smothered burritos, chili rellenos, and (believe it or not) chili relleno burritos are fabulous. Be prepared. They accept CASH! No checks, no plastic. Also, they don't serve alcohol. A lil bit of Mexico – The delicious cuizine will tempt anyone. Their pork burritos have an over aboundance of pork and are very delicous and filling. Their tacos asados are the best!!!
Hot Spot – I was introduced to this off-the-beaten-path restaurant many years ago and have enjoyed it's authentic foods and friendly service. Though I liked keeping it to myself, such a gem should be shared. I'll continue my patronage for many more years...
