Taqueria Corona beckons you with authentic Mexican cuisine on its platter. Bang in the middle of Magazine Street, this place offers tortilla tacos topped with pico and cilantro and fish entrees that promise you a whirlwind of taste. The delicious smells from the open kitchen whets your appetite. Polish off with the traditional arroz con leche for dessert. This modest joint is popular with collegians and local celebrities alike. The whiff of freshly grilled onions and spices, hip swinging Latin music and deliciously flavored ... read more

No No No – The Mexican food here is NOT GOOD. Not even relative to the few choices there are for Mexican fare in New Orleans. From the salsa to the tacos, the flavor and consistency is all wrong. The service also seems to have a hard time handling a crowd. Not Recommended
FISH TACOS!!!! – I could eat a fish taco from Taqueria Corona every day! Crispy fish and cabbage, spicy and creamy sauce... yum! Also, start with the cebollitas -- salty and limey and DEEE-licious. If you have a problem with communication, remember that for some servers, English is a second language. THAT'S why the food is so good! It's authentic. And cheap -- bonus! Oh -- and best margarits EVER.
Low-budget rarely tastes so good – Next time you're considering a fast-food value meal, take your cash and hunger to Taqueria -- king-sized burritos, up-sized flavors and big value. And both takeout and dining in offer a better experience than most drive-throughs. Taqueria is a better way to spend your little bit of money.
Better than Texas and Cal. – By far, the best Mexican food in the world, run by El Salvadorians. Roberto the owner greets regulars by name. Black beans and rice for close to nothing, phenomenal guacamole, flautas, and the best tacos al carbon (ask to add cheese if you want). Do yourself a favor and sample one of the combination platters or split one with a friend. No lengthy description needed. If you like Mexican food at all, this place is the BEST. One of my favorite places in New Orleans overall.
