I am totally addicted to the AUTHENTIC tamales! Have never had a bad meal here. We bring out-of-owners here and they love it. Atmosphere is pretty basic, but really don't care as long as the food keeps coming.
The tacos are really great, loaded with flavor and fresh ingredients. As a Texas native, I am very excited to have Taquería Laurita here in Carlisle. Also love that they have the beverages imported from Mexico (including Coca-Cola made with actual sugar instead of corn syrup). The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5: I'd like to see them drop their prices just a little. If four tacos could be priced at $7.99 instead of $9.99 it would be a full 5 stars from me. Having lived one year in Mexico, I did find the flavors at Laurita's to be authentic. Even the beverages were just as they should be. Didn't love the seating, I would expect a more decorated environment and I hope they're playing some Mexican music now.
This place is AWFUL!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Paid 10 dollars for 4 tacos that were the size of small sand dollars with 1 tsp of meat and NO TASTE! This was by far the worst dining experience EVER!! Very disappointed!
Really enjoyed our first meal. Glad to see the line out the door. Hope to get over for lunch once they're open.

Let me tell you- I have been waiting since the late eighties for that kind of authentic flavor to make it up here from Texas. Loved it, support it and hope it becomes a Main Street main stay. So thankful to know that cuisine is available now---in Carlisle!
