My husband, whom had never taken psychiatric drugs in his life, had lost a massive amount of sleep over a high stress job situation. He was prescribed a benzodiazepine (Temazepam) via our PCP for sleep. He denied depression at the time. It's hard to put into words how grateful I am for the Taper Clinics support. The presence of each person on the Taper Clinic team who leads the zoom meetings are full of support, knowledge, compassion encouragement, friendliness, and most importantly hope. They make sure I do not taper too fast as I have done this in the past on my own. My doctors in the past have always told me I would have to be on medication for life and only give me many limiting labels and diagnoses.
