Went to purchase clear plastic vinyl for a project we had planned. When we told the employee our dimensions in inches she impatiently told us it's sold by yards. We told her again we are trying to get something close to the lengths we had already measured and then impatiently tells us the width of the roll is 54inches and she's not going to cut the whole roll. I ordered 5 separate pre-cut sheets of Lexan in order to make DIY hitting strips for a home golf simulator. The ability to get the sheets pre-cut in the exact (and less common) specifications I needed, and with a wide choice of thicknesses, was better for me than ordering larger sheets on Amazon and then having to cut them. And I don't think it cost me any more than it would have through Amazon, might have even been less, especially since I have never cut Lexan and don't have a tool with which to do it. TAP plastics is awesome. Customer service is top notch, I will not order any custom products anymore. They stand buy their products and I will order all future plexiglass needs from them.
I ordered a custom acrylic glass box with doors for my fruit cart and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The doors were poorly measured and left a visible crack that allowed outdoor elements in — completely defeating the purpose. The entire project was delayed by three weeks because the fabricator was out sick, something I wasn’t informed of until I followed up multiple times.
