The extensive menu at Tanjore can be overwhelming, but the patient wait staff are happy to assist. For native Indians or diners bored with the typical curry dish, the breadth of choices is a delight. For some variety, try Bengali or Western Indian dishes. The entrees contain no beef or pork, but they're so good that you won't miss the meat.

I have tried many indian restaurants in the cambridge, boston area. But this tops the cake. The atmosphere is simple but the food is delicious. The food is clean and fresh. Not oily! No dish is too overseasoned. Everything is favorful. The food does not taste like it has been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Tanjore offers both northern and southern indian dishes. They offer a good mix. ... read more
