DON'T GO TO EASTER BUFFET- NOT WORTH THE $ Yesterday our family went to the Tangier's Easter Buffet that they elegantly advertise with upscale entrees. First, we had a reservation that was not honored- we had to wait more that a half hour to be seated due to overbooking. Ritzy and Elegant I have only gone here for special occasions, when someone has rented a hall, but it's always been special. Tangier is very formal and their staff is professional, and they cater beautifully, making sure every guest is taken care of. I've never been inside the actual restaurant, but it looks beautiful from the outside. And by the way, the architecture of the building is very cool, considering it's in the middle of downtown Akron Ohio.
Excellent Small Venue.. I have been to the Tangier on numerous occasions and have always had a wonderful time. The venue for the bands is small and personal. No fighting crowds of thousands of people, and no need for binoculars. If you have the opportunity to see a show at the Tangier, I would highly recommend it! They offer a wide array of acts and a website to check it out too! I haven't heard anyone talk badly about the Tangier!
Restaurant They are a 5 star restaurant and offer catering and have banquet facilities. They have been in business for 45 years and always a popular place to go. The have entertainment in their cabaret which goes from oldies music to present day. The food is very good and the prices are high on some items but they also have a coupon in the entertainment book so you can give them a try. I've never come away hungry.
