Tasty -n- Tiny – Very good, very expensive, very small portions. I love the sea... – The food was very good and the menu inventive. I have managed to taste different types of food that I had never eaten before (including a fish likened to a giant piranha). Among our group, the food mostly hit, although there were a couple of bland misses here and there. The portion sizes seemed a bit small to me for the price (or I just have an oversized appetite) but the food overall is 5 star quality.
Best Dining Experience in LA – Nick & Stef's has a new general manager, Ron Casey. Ron, along with his staff, has created a new speciality cocktail menu which rivals any restaurant in town. These are cocktails that taste wonderful. The dry aged steaks are amazing. Melt in your mouth. Our FAVORITE this is the Cheese and BEER pairing. That's right, cheese and beer. Delicious Steak served with Excellent Service – I went to Nick & Stef's for the first time with three friends on my birthday. The food was excellent! To start, we ordered the Cesar salad, which was prepared right at our table and tasted great. Wow, what a disappointment! – My wife and I love going out to new restaurants once a week. I personally love beef! I heard how famous Nick & Stef was in downtown L.A. Tonight I had porterhouse steak the 22 oz which is the cut I always get at a nice steak house. We only came for quick appetizers and coffee and now this.. – After my party was seated and we ordered drinks my friends parents mentioned that they were probably going to have appetizers to which the waitress stated that the policy of the restaurant was that if we were going to have appetizers we would have to go to the bar and eat them there....how ridiculous(this policy was not written anywhere nor stated to us before being seated)!! Italian Food Near a Magical Place – Typically, I'm not a fan of Italian restaurants. I often feel the food is bland and water down, when really it's just not made with love. When you grow up with a Sicilian Grandmother who used to slave all day in the kitchen to make the best Lasagna, pasta, sauce (called gravy), homemade Pizza on homemade dough it changes your opinion of Italian food. Inconsistant service and food. – I usually like the Burger for lunch here. But not on my most recent visit. I ordered my burger medium well, but it was served very rare and cold. They took forever to replace the first burger, which came out as a different order. I ended up leaving after having coffee and bread. My co-worker had finished their lunch by this time.
Don't Waste Your Time or Money – We were there Thanksgiving evening 2009. We had made reservations for 6:00 with a party of five. We had bought in advance Thanksgiving dinner tickets for 59.00 dollars a person. The food was awful, the bread was hard as a rock and when we asked for fresh bread the server was very rude.
